Aspects of the Self
A Dream I Dream is collection of everything that I am, and everything that I love. This section, especially, is devoted to my dreams and fantasies.
Each image above depicts an aspect of myself as a woman and the words below I have written to capture their meaning. The words actually belong to a song I've written.
In the center is Aquarius, as represented by
the wonderful artist at Jonathonart.com. I am born February 6, 1977, so I'm an Aquarius and the woman represents
a part of me. Aquarians though are supposed to be distant and unemotional and I'm probably one of the most emotional and sensitive gals on Earth ;) An Aquarius is more than just an astrological sign, and more than what
others say of her - read on.
"I invite mystery and knowledge. Come to me. If you can look me in the eyes, and see
who I am, you are worthy. And if you can see who I am without even a glance, you have won me. For I am
the stars in the heavens, the whispers in the trees, and the song in the wind. Find me." (C) Nishi Rajan 1999-2008
The Fairy
When we see a picture we love, they say it's because we see something of ourself in it, or what we'd like to be.
Well in that image I see a beautiful, graceful woman and she's magical and gifted. I've always looked up
to women (real and fictional) who were strong, beautiful, smart and talented.
And fictional stories of characters with magic capture me because I've always wished I had magical powers.
The power to fly, to hold out your hand and change things.
It's a fantasy I'm sure almost everyone has had at one time or another.
"Tread softly upon the earth, in hushed voice speak to me. Tell me your desires. Take my hand,
and fly with me."(C) Nishi Rajan 1999-2008
Magic
The fairy with the unicorns - that is magic - the connection to nature....ever wanted to just go into a forest and hope to see something magical happen? Like a unicorn appear, or creatures you never though existed appear.
The woods, forest, all of the Earth is so magical...I used to watch David the Gnome and wished there really were magical, kind creatures in the woods behind my house.
It's fun to dream :)
"Seek me in the petals that fly through the wind. Seek me in the stones buried beneath the earth.
Find me in the caves of the ocean floor. Know me through my soul. I am all around you - I am magic." (C) Nishi Rajan 1999-2008
The King and Queen and their Castle
Most fairy tales revolve around a Prince and a Princess finding each other, falling in love, and then overcoming some great obstacle in order to be together. And then, they have peace.
That's what I see in that picture - the peace that comes with achieving your dream with someone.
"Please, put your hand upon my cheek. Hold me close. Don't let me go. I want to feel your kisses, and the warmth
of your touch. Wipe away my tears. I want to be home."(C) Nishi Rajan 1999-2008
Sexuality
No it's NOT beastiality - the image just had a unicorn with it - sheesh! The picture represents how
sex is part of nature. It's both beautiful and erotic and magical. It's nothing to be ashamed of, but something
beautiful to appreciate and admire. I don't believe in casual sex. I strongly believe that giving yourself should be shared
between people who truly love each other and have a committment. The most beautiful and most magical thing
in the world to me is being with the one you love most and showing them how much you truly love them.
"Dance with me again. By the moonlight touch me. Even now, I can still see you so clearly...with the moonlight shining through the window..."(C) Nishi Rajan 1999-2008
Throughout A Dream I Dream... you'll see the many sides of me: my love for the magical, my love for love (like my websites devoted to Japanese
romantic shoujo anime and manga), my love for books, tv, the world and its events, my love for God, my family, and everything that is most dear to me.
No one can be defined by a few interests - everyone is multi-faceted, with the unique ability to feel one way on Monday and
the opposite on Tuesday. It's what makes us individuals and gives us personality.
